What is a twinwall drainage pipe?

The twin extrusion process is made up of two layers of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for additional strength. Twinwall pipes are extremely lightweight and feature a corrugated outer wall and a smooth bore on the inside. Opt for perforated, half-perforated, or unperforated twinwall pipes, depending on whether or not your project requires infiltration.

They're a reliable way to drain excess water into nearby natural watercourses or storm drains, making an excellent solution for drainage installations and underground ducting applications.

Our range of twinwall pipes

The 63/50mm duct coils range comes with a draw cord that already features coupler fittings pre-attached for maximum convenience. These are manufactured using HDPE for stability and durability under harsh conditions. Available in lengths of 50 metres, they are up to the task of handling a variety of drainage work.

Identifying and sorting through complex twinwall pipes when working within an underground environment can be challenging. But here at Total Pipes, we provide ducting in an assortment of colours to help. Choose from:

  • Black marked ‘electric'
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Orange
  • Purple
  • Green

If a 63/50mm size twinwall pipe is what you're after, you'll need to select blue from the drop-down list of colours. For railways, it's orange, purple for highways (i.e. lighting cables), green for cable TV and fibre optics, and yellow for gas.

Our twinwall pipes are textured to provide easy handling and deliver added strength to the product itself. Twinwall ducting and pipes can offer protection and aid in the identification of cables and smaller diameter service pipes. Once properly installed, our pipes are designed to last and will make your cable and service pipe installation much more efficient.
